Attendees:

The general session was opened at 1:00 pm by Brenda Kimbrough covering the following issue:

• Old Business
  • Indiana finally paid us $18,000.00.
  • Changes to Bylaws.
  • Delegates to national convention.
• New Business
  • Changes to national web site as well as Coach O
  • Illinois plans to bid on the 2015 USA Youth National Meet
  • Review of the plan for National Office as far as revenue for 2015 USA Youth National Meet covered by Dorothy Dawson
  • All sanctioned meets will have to go through the National Office starting September 2013

Committee Reports

• Official Chair – Jamero Rainey
  • Recognized the following officials for their service to Illinois for many years: Lee Slick, Deanna Slenk, Mike Powers, John Spinton, Mark Punta and Connie Johnson
  • Will use the Indoor Season to train new officials
• LDR– Greg Evens
  • Asked for Volunteers that would like to help on his committee
  • Seeking to grow membership numbers during the Hot Chocolate Run by having a table set up to process new Membership ($30) in place.
  • Stated that Romeoville is interested in putting on a Cross Country Meet for 2014
• Masters – Barb Lauff
  • Would like to put together as 3 yearr schedule for Indoor and Outdoor in Sterling
  • Would like the Financial Reports for 2012 – 2013
  • Would like to continue processing paper entries
• Youth Marc Jones
  • Gave dates and locations for upcoming competitions.
• Dorothy Dawson was recognized for the years that she has volunteered for USA Track and Fields of Illinois. She was presented with an plaque, cake, and a flat screen television that was already mounted on her wall.
