Dorothy Dawson opened the meeting at 1:30 pm.
Old Business:
Ray Vandersteen payments on target. To date, Nov, paid $12,100.00 towards outstanding debt of $33k.
New Business:
Race Walk – Diane Graham-Henry – absent.
Lorette Cherry read written report.
Officials – Win Eggers
-- Win was embarrassed and angry at Illinois officials who did not show up at the National Youth Outdoor Championship.
-- During February will develop a contract to officials for all meets this summer.
-- $1000 in bank account – sign up at registration -- raffle to determine who gets money.
-- Recertification – turn in resume of 10 meets you have worked. For 2012, a resume is needed for recertification.
-- ITTCCA clinic in January is a great clinic. USATF has been invited to attend coaches clinic.
-- Awards were presentd to Deeanna Slenk and Lee Slick.
Greg Evans – LDR – absent
-- Will be hosting the 17th Annual Race Directors Clinic, November 10th, in Oak Brook, IL.
-- LDR held a state meet.
Masters – Stephen Cohen
-- Thanked the Illinois Association for Outdate State meet.
-- Sue Hallen & Ruth Welding hosted the Throwers Championship in Illinois at Benedictine University.
-- 2012 National Masters will be contested at Benedictine University.
-- 2011 Masters/Open Indoor, Feb 19, Sterling, IL.
-- 2011 Masters/Open Outdoor, June 24th, Plainfield, IL
-- Drug testing will start at masters/open level starting in 2011
Open – DeVaughn Benion – absent
Coaching Education – Marchan Adkins – absent
Youth – Marc Jones
-- Thanked all officials who worked the summer meets.
-- Is seeking feedback to make meets better.
-- XC state meet is Nov 14th and Region 7 meet is November 27th at Plainfield Central HS.
-- Indoor 2011 schedule: Friday Night Special is January 7th, Dorothy Dawson Invite is February 5th and National Youth Zone Meet is March 12-13.
-- IHSA approved both meets (Dorothy Dawson & National Youth Zone Meet) hosted by USATF Illinois.
-- There were three bids for state and regional championship in 2011: DuPage TC (withdrew request), Kankakee TC and Plainfield Central TC. The youth committee voted to have Plainfield Central TC host
the event.
The meeting was adjourned at 2:35 pm.
